Chinese Studies with Specialisation (MA)

What is the degree programme about?

The degree programme combines Chinese studies with specialisation subjects. In addition to a sound education in Chinese studies, students acquire in-depth knowledge in historical studies, philosophy, Chinese philology, political science, sociology or economics.

Due to the wide scope of the degree programme, graduates are equipped with a broad set of qualifications which increases their chances on the labour market. They take a larger number of modules in their chosen subjects to ensure a diverse education. Only the specialisation subject philology, which is aimed solely at a qualification in Chinese studies, consists entirely of Chinese studies modules.

The degree programme is research-oriented and promotes interdisciplinary collaboration. The specialisation is documented on the degree certificate.
