International Production Engineering and Management (BSc)

What is the degree programme about?

This degree programme will prepare you for a career as an engineer in an international environment.

Together mechanical engineering and systems engineering form a key industry which provides a driving force behind innovation, the economy and technical performance in Germany. With a 20 percent share of global trade, Germany is the leading international provider of machinery, ahead of the USA and Japan. Due to their large quantities of exports, all large companies that work in production technology operate on an international level and are always looking for engineers and mangers with the same international perspective who, in addition to their knowledge of engineering, also have business and foreign language skills.

This is where the International Production Engineering and Management degree programme comes in, as students gain knowledge not only of traditional mechanical engineering, but also of management, in both German and English, ensuring they are well prepared to work in an international environment.

Over the course of the degree programme you will learn about a diverse range of topics in engineering, such as technical mechanics, plant design, production technology, and materials science, as well as various areas of management, such as supply chain management and global operations strategy.
