Literature and Books (BA)

What is the Degree Programme About?

The Literature and Books course aims at linking the scientific dimension of French-romantic and German-language literature and cultural studies and book studies, with a particular focus on the Franco-German perspective and the practical dimension of imparting far above-average language skills, particularly in the field of specialist languages.

The first year of studies at the FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg is devoted to the attendance of introductory courses in the fields of French-Romanic and German literature and cultural studies, as well as to the study of books and linguistic practice. The second year of study includes a stay at the partner university, during which the technical, methodological and language skills are further developed. In the third year of studies, the study at the FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg will be continued, especially in the subject areas and also taking into account the interdisciplinary perspective.
